[Joshua can certainly appreciate the positive reception for that. Sounded like they had plans for the day. However, while Joshua really knew, seeing Estelle be such a cuddle bug is definitely nice. She'd always been physically affectionate (and violent) and someone who displayed her feelings more by touching and embracing than by saying things.

So it really speaks volumes to him when she leans back against him. Sometimes he fears that he gets too handsy, but when she comes back and decides she wants to be close again, well, it's nice. He knows his fear is unfounded, but it's there. Then again, he knows what causes his fear and it's just something he's going to have to one day push past when they're ready.

For now, he wraps his arm around her shoulder and starts to run her upper arm. Let he be cozy for now since that's what she's practically asking of him.]

Comfortable?

[Estelle could be plenty affectionate with words, but she'd always been someone who spoke with actions more naturally. Being close to Joshua like this, the warm, solid weight of him next to her, nice and warm and comfortable..... it was really nice. There was nothing at all about it that was uncomfortable for her, but she always tried to be considerate of Joshua's comfort, too.

It still fills her with a happy little spark of joy when he returns the gesture, wrapping an arm around her, and she nods with a pleased little hum around the lip of her cup, leaning a little more comfortable against him.]

Mmmmhm. Perfect.

[To see her so content, it definitely fills him with warmth. It shows as pink and red roses pop up around them. He's happy with her and just... so in love with her. It's sometimes still weird to know that he's the one that makes her happy, that if he leaves, she'll chase after him and drag him back. He doesn't know how he came to deserve it, but, he just loves her. He just loves her so much.

So seeing that smile on her face and the fact that he's causing it just fills him with joy. So much that he nuzzles the top of her head before planting a kiss on her forehead. Sure, he likes it when they kiss, but sometimes he just wants to be the one to shower love on her.]

[Estelle can't hide the goofy, giddy little grin she's got on her face when Joshua presses a kiss to her forehead, and if the temperature in the room feels like a sunny spring day rather than fall tripping into winter, well... at least they're both cosy, right?

Not that Estelle's paying much attention to the odd effects her own emotions have on the environment, as wrapped up in Joshua's presence as she is right now.]

Hmmmm ♪ Keep this up and I might not want to get up.

[Joshua can tell the change in temperature. It's comfortable, as if reflecting her comfort as well. He's glad -- not that without the emotional response he wouldn't be able to tell if she didn't want this. Sometimes she gets embarrassed, but there's definitely a sense of contentment he's sensing with her.]

I hate to burst your bubble, but you're going to have to get up eventually for one reason or another. I'm guessing it will be due to your bottomless stomach that's never satisfied.

Ah, how wrong you are! [Amusement colors her tone, and she holds up her retrieved apple pastry much like it's a prize with a smirk coming to her lips.]

I came prepared with supplies, after all. [Like that would last her very long to begin with, but the point is she isn't going hungry soon. Probably. For a little while anyway. She waves it under Joshua's nose as if to say 'See?'.] I'll even share if you ask nicely ♥

[...There's a few more in the box back in the kitchen, Estelle.]

[There's a moment where Joshua attempts to keep a straight, but it's gone pretty quickly as he holds back an obvious chuckle. Raising an eyebrow, he looks at her 'prized pastry'.]

How long is that going to last you? My bets are on fifteen minutes.

[He's not even taking the bait on sharing since he knows there's more...]

[Her smirk just grows in the face of his laughter, because she's really only partially serious.]

I can make it last thirty! Maybe even an hour!

[She is going to nibble the pastry as slowly as possible just to prove him wrong, watch her.

Saying that, it is not going to last more than 15 minutes, probably.]

I seriously doubt that.

[He gives her an incredulous look. He knows her too well to know she'll try to nibble on that. Nibbles will become bites. Bites will become chomps. It's the way of Estelle Bright.]

[Entirely true, but she's also stubborn as a mule.... with almost anything except resisting her appetite, anyway.

She'd make a damn good attempt though.]

Wanna bet on it? [She takes the tiniest, teeniest bite as if to illustrate her resolve.]

[You know what? He's amused by this, as his lips curl up to match what he's feeling. Watching her take such a tiny bite just to show how determined she is is very... her. This is the girl he fell in love with and he's not ashamed whatsoever.]

Sure. Let's see how long you can hold out before you start chowing down on it.

[Estelle leans in, smirking directly in Joshua's face and dangling the pastry in front of him. Challenge accepted.] Juuuust watch me, mister!

[.....Aaaand another nibble. And another.

.....This isn't going to last very long, is it.]

[Yeah, he watches her take nibble after nibble. He admits, it's pretty cute. She's like a chipmunk trying to eat like that...

Excuse him as he takes her twintails and folds them up so they look like animal ears on her head.]

If that cinnamon apple pastry were an actual apple, you'd look like an actual grasshopper!

[Aaaand there she goes, blushing again. Does she look that weird....?!

Ooooh, he's teasing her!]

Huh, you're just teasing me because you know I'll prove you wrong!

[She punctuates that statement by sticking out her tongue. They are the most mature.]

Or I'm just telling you how cute and ridiculous you look at the same time.

[He still has her hair in his hands, moving it around like animal ears twitching. Estelle really is a cute person -- Joshua has admitted that far before they were dating. It fits her personality so well, too.]

Good thing you're not a monster we need to hunt -- I'd hate for everyone to see you like this. [And also he doesn't want to share the cute. He sometimes wants to keep this cute side of his girlfriend to himself.]

[Noooope, she can't quite stop herself from devolving into giggles in between nibbles at that. He was calling her cute.... a cute monster after all, but cute.]

You wouldn't hunt me! You just said it yourself, I'm cute ♪

[She reaches up to pat him on his head with a grin.] Though you're pretty cute yourself, you know. How would you like it if I kept you as a pet?

[Ridiculous. They are absolutely ridiculous.]

A pet? Knowing you, you'd put me in a collar and everything.

[...Oh Aidios, that just got a bad sexual mental image. Maybe not bad, but wow, uh... hopefully she doesn't take that seriously and knows that's a joke.]

[Unfortunately for Joshua, Estelle's actually got a look on consideration on her face in between nibbles.]

...Huh, I did tell Analace I'd put a leash on you, once.

[He's just giving her a really incredulous look right now. Oh Aidios, thank the heavens Schera probably didn't hear that or else...]

Really, a leash? Were you that concerned I wouldn't come back to you?

[Joshua, honey, you tried to push her away when she found you...]

[He still has her twintails in his hands, playing around with her hair some more.]

But let's be honest with ourselves. You always followed me around, so in that sense you're like a dog that needed to follow it's master everywhere!

[Not that she can see, but he makes the twintails in his hands more pointed to look like dog ears.]

Maybe you're the one that needs the collar and leash!

[He smiles, just amused.]

[Does Joshua really want a doggie imitation? Because he's about to get one when she shakes her head lightly, causing her hair to flop about like floppy dog ears.

I was the one following you around? As I recall it, it was the other way around. I didn't even need a leash.

[Or maybe they should just both admit it was 50/50 and more they were attached at the hip than following each other around.]

[Listen, he loves her, but that doesn't change the fact she was violent as a child. For now he lets go of her twintails to let them fall behind her back again and grabs his nearly empty mug of cider to finish it off.]
